The answer was found to be “One Glass Wine”, a process developed by a French company for over 20 years that allows wine to be sealed in a convenient, generous, single serve PET unbreakable glass. This technology is now being utilized by New Zealand Company Soulo to bring premium New Zealand wines in a single serve to consumers without the hassle associated with bottles and glasses. Great for beach, boat, BBQ, parties and events where Soulo offers convenience, portion control and safety to the host and the consumer.
The local company, Soulo has exclusive rights to the process for New Zealand and Australia, which uses a patented process to seal the wine into a unique high quality, robust, eco-friendly, reusable, recyclable PET Glass. Wine is a complex liquid with a delicate balance easily affected by the introduction of oxygen. Normal plastic allows oxygen to permeate over time so special materials and inert gases are required to protect and preserve the wine characteristics.
